Can't move desktop icons

Hi,

I'm running W2K Server, SP4, all hotfixes. Suddenly I can't move desktop
icons. I drag it to a new location on the desktop and when I release it is
snaps back to where it was. I can't drag icons into the trash but I can
highlight them and press the delete key. Auto-Arrange is off. If I right
click the desktop and select Arrange by Size or Name or Date the locations
change. I just can't move them manually. Any suggestions?

That's what I thought, but AutoArange is off. I can turn it on and the
checkmark for the option appears. Then I can turn it off and the checkmark
goes away. But no matter what I do I can't move icons.
