i have windows xp pro sp2, i only have one user account besides the
Administrator account.
i did not created a password for that account so windows xp always logs me
on automaticaly.
however, xp crashed last nite and then i cannot logon to windows anymore,
the welcome screen shows up but ask me for password to logon to windows, i
try to leave it blank but then it gives me an error msg "Unable to Log You
on Because of an Account Restriction", i try to type some thing, some random
words, it gives me a password incorrect error (of course....)
same situation in safe mode for both the user account i created and the
Administrator account.
i try to load up the recovery console from the xp setup disk, the strange
thing is it lets me to logon to windows installation with a blank password
this time. after i reboot, at the welcome screen once again i can't logon to
windows.
is there anyway to solve this? can i create an administrator password in
recovery console so i can logon with the Administrator account? if i can,
how?
is it a sign of virus infection? but i do have an anti-virus software
installed.
