Can't login to guest account

Whenever i try to login my guest account a message:

"Windows can't log you on because we cannot find the file specified. Check your network connections.... If problem persists please contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - Unable to find network..."

I have a week old installation of windows XP sp1 and currently on a direct cable peer-to-peer connection with another PC. we used a standard UTP cable to connect the two computers. I'm guessin it has something to do with the network. Or maybe the qhosts.apd trojan is affecting this.

does anyone have an idea on how to bypass this?

The Guest account is probably disabled. As far as networking to direct
connect to PCs use a crossover cable.

Why would you want to log in to the guest account anyway? It's so limited as
to be almost useless. Set up a Limited User account and use that.

That's the point. It's very limited that's why i use that. I'm using it for all the other folks that are not me. My cousins, sis, and folks. They just mess up with the Pc. I'm guessing the other accounts don't work too. Same reason as the guest account.
