Sorry to repost, but I need to rephase what I need. I am not looking for a
way around the password. I am wondering what went wrong. Did the password
file become corrupt? I know the user names, and I know the password, it
just won't accept anything. And why is it even asking when I told it not
to? Here is my original post:

"I was working on my sister's PC, which has Win2K. It is not networked, but
her son had set it to require a password to log on. I turned off the
password requirement, putting in the admin password to verify, and all
seemed ok. Rebooted, and now it won't let me log on. Says password is
invalid, and gives me logon box. I have tried every username/password
combination on the machine, and it won't take anything. I don't know a lot
about Win2K, and I have Win98 so I can't play around and see what is going
on. Any help would be appreciated!"

Thanks again,
Honeybee
