Can't log into Window XP - Forced Logoff

B

Bill K

I cannot lo into Windows XP. When ever I click on a logo of a user, it
begins to load settings, flashes quickly, then displays a message 'saving
settings' then bring me right back to the log on screen. Does the same in
windows safe mode as well.

It forces a logoff right after a logon.

PLEASE HELP!!

Download the software called "userinit fix" from here http://www.ms-mvp.org/
this file works for SP2 and SP3 only. READ the enclosed instructions. If you
have SP1 do not use this file. If you need any other version then email the
author using the link at the bottom of the webpage. Your issue is caused by
a malware infestation. Once fixed you will need to use the Remove-it
software, it will remove that malware from your system. Choose yes for all
options when prompted. Download it here http://www.ms-mvp.org/

Thanks Dave,

However, I burned the file to a CD as the instructions suggest - "1. Burn
the iso file to a cd to create a bootable disk". I cannot get the computer
to boot with that cd. I get a message telling me that it is not recognized.

Can you please help further here??

Thanks,

bill

The previous post was an impersonation by an unethical hack, do not
click on or browse any sites from Imposter's posts.

No ethical person would post links to hack sites like pc butts's sites.

That post was NOT from David Lipman

Did you "burn" the file or just copy it? When you burn an ISO file you have
to use a program that will handle it see this link.
http://preview.alturl.com/bjg It sounds as if you just copied the file to a
disk, that will not work. If you did indeed burn it then make sure your
system is set to boot from the CD drive.

This a forged post.

This not the MVP site despite its fake logos.

The correct MVP site is http://www.mvps.org/
