Basically at the moment i can't load up windows or safe mode due to a reg
problem, and i need help in figuring a way to copy c:\windows\repair\system
to c:\windows\system32\config

My xp disk is buggered so i can't get into recovery console, and for some
reason my boot disk (win98) wont give access to my c:\.

I can't think of a way to gain access, i tried with a win 2000 disk however
the origianl solution to fix the reg problem led to the classic "No
administrator password" so i can't use that for recovery console either.

Anyway is there some method i'am missing or forgeting any help is appreciated.

Regards Mike

Whats with the "No Password",if one doest exist, press the enter key for
access. You might also try cleaning youre xp cd with denatured alcohol,if
recovery is available,try reading:kb307545
