Can't load System Restore

When clikinig on System Restore, I get the following
dialog box: rstrui.exe - Entry Point Not Found. The
mesaage is: "The procedure entry point
RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore cound not be located
in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll". Has anyone had
this problem and if so, what can be done to resolve it?

Thanks,

Rstrui.exe is what loads your Restore points . Read this and check if you have
it set up correctly .

1. In My Computer, click the Tools menu -> Folder Options.
2. On the View tab, make sure to check the option "Hide extensions for known file types".
3. Click OK.
4. Click the Start menu -> Run. Type: " %windir%\inf " (Without quotation
marks) in the Open field. Click OK.
5. Locate and select the file " sr.inf ". Right-click it and then click Install.

.
Bob, if the previous steps do not work, try installing
Service Pack 1a, from the Windows Update site, that
should fix it.
