Can't install WinXP with Win98 on machine...

I have an IBM desktop running Win98. I just purchased
WinXP Professional and am trying to install it. I'm
getting a "fatal error" message telling me that the
machine won't install XP with 98 on the machine. Any
advice would be very much appreciated.

Dennis, do you want to do a dual boot with 98 and xp? If yes it's best to
have a separate partition for WinXP.
