I have a Trust scanner that i bought a few years ago. It worked great with
XP, but the manufacturer don't have a driver for Vista. Is there anyway i can
get it working?

Probably not. Vista is now using WIA instead of Twain which your scanner
most likely was using. Unless Vista just happens to recognize it, you'll
likely have to purchase a new scanner. It's possible you could get the
scanner software installed under compatibility mode but from what I've seen
on these boards, people haven't been too successful with that and scanners.

I was able to install my old scanner on VISTA by running the XP install
script using XP compatibllity mode.

I'm running my old HP SJ5P using TWAIN from their older software.

Check out using your TWAIN software -- you might have to disable
Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) in Services while installing TWAIN to
stop it grabbing the connection.
