Cant install office 97

I reinstalled windows me on my hp computer. when I rebooted, office was gone.
reinstalled in w/ cd. After reboot, could not run office programs from hard
drive. I can run them from the cd, but its slow and clumsy. MS says Office 97
is no longer supported and that while windows me is supported, hp is supposed
to help with that. hp says its not a windows me problem, its an office
problem. help?

Hi Daniel,

I don't know what your problem might be but Office 97 runs on Windows ME
must fine.

This a newsgroup for ms-access.

However, there is no reason why office 97 cannot be re-installed on that pc.
I would just re-install access97.

In fact, office 97 works on windows 95, windows 98, windows 98 SE, windows
ME, windows 2000, and even works on windows xp.

There should be no difficult install office on any of the above systems....
