Hi,
After the initial setup to copy the files from cd to hdd it rebooted
(I'd set the first boot to hdd) and when it gets to the point of
loading the installation the cursor just blinks. I've waited 20
minutes and nothing happened, done this a few times.
When I partitioned I kept my data partition and deleted the first
partition on the drive and made this ntfs. I have tried fixmbr in the
console, and also fixboot. Fixboot says that it will set the mbr to
point to my data partition (wrong!), wheras it should point to the
partition where the setup files have been installed from the CD. Have
tried both of these though, and it doesn't help. I had linux on this
machine before but fixmbr should fix that once I've installed the
setup - yes/no?
I have had xp installed on this machine before so that rules out
hardware conflicts.
