ok, so im running firefox on vista 32 bit. almost EVERYTHING content-wise on the internet-youtube, facebook, porn-has stopped working because i need to install the newest flashplayer. SO, i of course download and then try to install it. although I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR, it gives me an error message saying i dont have sufficient permissions to write the file to the C drive. ive tried right-clicking the file and selecting 'Run as Administrator', Tried restarting in Safe Mode, tried creating another account with admin privileges and going thru that account.... IM THIS CLOSE TO FLIPPING OUT!! no other forum has a damn thing to help me. THANKS SO MUCH FOR UR TIME.

hmmm, I don't have Flash "installed" on my system, however, the Chrome browser I use has a built-in version. I have no bother playing any media that needs it.

I have no idea how FF handles Flash, I assume FF has a similar 'feature' to Chrome?

Is this any help?

someone using FF on the forums should be able to help you further.

Hello Huie,

I'm truly not trying to be rude but may I ask what sort of Internet security you are using to protect your computer from said porn sites? Security on Windows Vista is nothing short of a joke and if you are not using proper protection from porn (sorry about the pun!), you may have contracted a virus or other problem on your computer.

Cheers.

i'd say huie881 was probably been sarcastic when he mentioned porn

I considered that as well--either way though, his issue sounds like some kind of malware to me, whether porn-related or not!
