Search your drive for scanpst.exe and run it on your file. If it shows
errors, select to fix the errors and rerun the tool until it reports no more
errors.

| I forgot to ask, where is the inbox repair tool?
|
| || Should work, then. Have you tried repairing the File using the Inbox
|| Repair Tool?
||
|| Now you can see why we recommend against exporting. There is no need
|| for it mad data can get corrupted. If you want to reuse data, just
|| copy or open the original PST file in another installation.

|| ||| I went to the top of my personal folders, and created a new file by
||| selecting file import/export Personal Folder File, then went to my
||| temp directory and created a new file - outlook.pst - replace is
||| selected, there is no password setting.
|||
||| |||| Provide the details on how you created this file. From your
|||| description, it sounds like you exported to an already existing
|||| PST file. I hope not. --

|||| ||||| I have outlook 2003 running on one computer, I exported the files
||||| to a outlook.PST file from my personal folders. I have a new
||||| machine with Outlook2003. I went to the top of my personal
||||| folders and went to file import the outlook.pst file and it says
||||| the file c:\temp\outlook.pst is not a personal folders file. I
||||| checked and the file doesn't have any read only attributes. Any
||||| suggestions?
