pst files

I'm getting ready to move my Outlook data to a new computer. I see
two pst files in the Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
folder:
Outlook.pst 1.6GB modified today
Personal Folders.pst 265KB modified a month ago

If Outlook.pst includes the data in Personal Folders.pst, I do not
want to move the redundant file. How can I see what's in the smaller
pst file?

In Outlook, use file, open, outlook data file. My guess is that it is empty
(that is the default size for outlook 2007) - for whatever reason outlook
made a new pst and you didn't use it. The only one with data is the 1.6GB
file.

You never open Outlook files from Windows Explorer. Use these complicated
steps in Outlook instead:
File > Open > Outlook Data File...

Hi. Open the smaller PST file in Outlook then have a look through it.

FILE > OPEN > OUTLOOK DATA FILE > then navigate to it using explorer.
The PST file will open then you can inspect the contents ... of the
inbox, sent items etc. If there is anything you want to keep in
there, copy and paste it to the main PST file you will nmigrate.

Hope this helps.
