I often go to www.quicktopic.com for their forums. My friends and I have a
forum there. Its a well known site and reputable I've heard. I cant get
there anymore. Ive tried disabling firewalls, turning off antivirus
(mcaffee), checked internet settings/security. uninstalled anti adware
programs. I cant ping it and reach it with command prompt. I cant do it on
any of my 4 computers! Yet friends, can family can get there with no
problem. comcast and belkin (router) support couldnt help me. I use IE but
downloaded firefox, but it wont get there. I cant get to the cached version
with Yahoo or google search for it. The belkin router has security and
firewall turned off. Any suggestions! Please help me.

works for me, go to start/find/files n folders> enter 'hosts' (its in
win/system32/drivers/etc i think) open this file with notepad and
search for the site in there, if its listed just delete it, if not,
open a cmd prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns

because its happening for all your comps i would say its your router,
has it got a static ip? possibly your blacklisted?

I dont think the site blacklists anyone. I dont see it in hosts. Belkin
router page says its dynamic, but when I asked comcast a year ago I think
they said something like " we are dynamic, but we dont change, but we may
change in future, so put in dynamic". Does that sound possible? What does
the flush/dns do? - will try it later

the dns points a name (like blah.com) to an ip (like 192.168.1.1)..
your computer caches these to save time, and some programs like
software firewalls and anti-spyware programs cache dns entries too, if
the website has changed address its possible your still trying to reach
the old ip and not the new one, I resolve the domain to 209.68.19.130
try ping quicktopic.com from a cmd prompt and see if it tries the same
ip address, try ping the ip address as well and see if that works.
