Just cant get this to work.

In column P50 : P53 I have: house, 2012, 2013, 2014
In column Q51 : Q53 I have: 120, 155, 153

I highlight the area and insert bar chart but the layout is all wrong.
I am looking to get house as a header (which I could probably add or
change later)
2012,2013,2014 on the bottom axis. (as names for the columns)
120,155,153 on the left axis as values

Apologies if terminology is a bit off.
I used to be able to get this in one easy move before but maybe that was
in a previous version of office.

Thanks for any help

if you insert a chart Excel "thinks" data is in a vertical table.

If you have a horizontal table select an empty cell => Insert Bar Chart.
Then Select Data => Legend Entries => Add:
Series name = P50, Series values = Q51:Q53
Horizontal Axis labels => Edit:
Axis label range =P51:p53
