I just built a 2003 server at home. I get an error trying to connect.
Checked in "services" that terminal services was running. I went ahead and
turned on EVERY service that began with remote. Did a netstat -a, but no
3389.

What could be missing?

Did you enable Remote Desktop on the Remote Tab of the System control
panel applet?

Also make sure that you do not install Terminal Services from the
Add/Remove Windows Components.. Terminal Services is different than
Remote Desktop on a Win2K3 box.

That was it. I don't remember having to enable that in win2k.
Thanx a million.

Just FYI: It wasn't there in Win2K... In Win2K you enabled it by
installing Terminal Services and selecting remote administration
mode...

In Win2K3, they maintained consistency with Windows XP...
