Cant get on secured pages

I recently changed from a phone conection to dsl with a wireless card. Every since I made the change I have not been able to get on secured pages for example my log in for my bank account. My ISP support told me that it was a problem with my computer and blew me off. It says that the page can not be displayed. Also I tried to update my XP systems and an error came up that said I needed to check my computers "Cryptographic Service", what ever that is.

Any help would be great......

Crytographic services is in admin tools>services check
it to see if its turned on as well as it dependantcies.

You do know that having a wireless connection defeats the
perpose of a secured site.It the same thing as giving
your credit card # over a cell phone.

A wireless connection does not defeat the purpose of a secured (SSL)
site. Even if WEP is not enabled between the client machine and the
access point, the data session is still encrypted between the browser
and the web server.

I have had the same problem for the past 2 weeks. And so
have quite a few others. I can't get into anything
secured such as my bank, credit card pages, even on line
shopping checkout pages. I read that perhaps the Verisign
certificates expiring may have something to do with it.
But no one, Verisign, Norton, etc. has been of much help.
We sure do need help. David
