can't get contacts email address in outlook

I have all my contacts setup in outlook but when i go to
my in box to send a message, when I click on "to" to bring
up my email list from contacts, they do not come up.
Can anyone suggest a solution.
Send to (e-mail address removed)

Outlook version? What do you see when you click To?
