Can't get cd to load

I just got the new Norton Anti-viru 2006. I put the CD in, it doesn't load.
I go to my computer, there is no drive to click on. I went to add new
program in add/remove programs, it says it can't find the disk. i don't know
what else to do. can anyone tell me how to get the disk loaded so i can
protect my computer?

Can you read other CDs?
Did you purchase (and are using the CD for) the PC version?
Have you contacted those you bought the software from?

no, it doesn't read other cd's. it is a brand new disk, so i think its the computer. i emailed the guy who i bought it from, he hasn't emailed me back
