Cant get access tab control to appear transparent

I am using forms with access tab controls. The Back Color of my forms is set
to 8838647 (a beige colour). In Access 2002 my tab controls would display
as the same color as the form when I set their Back Style property to
Transparent. I have just upgraded to Access 2003 and now the tab controls
Back Style property doesn't seem to work. ( the tabs are the default `button
face` color when their Back Style property is set to transparent and the
forms Back Color is 8838647) Please help. Newby poster.

This is on Windows XP?

Uncheck the box under:
Tools | Options | Forms/Reports | Use Windows Themed controls
