Can't Find 'News'

Hi. I'm very new to Outlook 2003. I want to access usenet using
Outlook. I found 'News' in the Go menu while customizing a
menu. I dragged it to the Standard Menu's Go menu and ran it
once but it mysteriously disappeared. I can't even find
it when customizing. Any Ideas?
Any help will be appreciated.

I wanted to do the same, but I think Outlook doesn't have it. You have to
use Outlook Express to get access to newsgroups. That's what I'm using right
now.
As for that button. I did the same....put the button on my toolbar, and then
later it disappeared. I don't get it.

actually....just got the button back....very weird. The program is Microsoft
Outlook Newsreader, but it's basically Outlook Express, adapted for only
news.

I got the command back also.
It appears as long as Outlook Express is the default
news reader I'm able to access the command in Outlook.
Seems it should be the other way.

Thanks,
James

you know...you're right. Button disappeared again when I had the Newsreader
default. And now it's back, once OE is default. Very puzzling....very
annoying!

Outlook users always start piping how Outlook and OE are two different
programs...made by two different groups.....well, why have them so
intertwined like this?! Why not have a good Newsreader for Outlook???

MS will never make sense :)

You can install any newsreader that you think is "good" and select that in
the Internet Options/Programs properties page and the News button will
launch that newsreader.
