can't find driver for video camera

xp asks for "usbstor.sys" to run or download video from a video camera. ever
since the install of service pack sp.2 xp cannot automaticaly find drivers.
also I can not restore to undo changes. why is there no source to download
drivers that should be in windows xp?
 
usbstor.sys is here C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 and goes here
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers.

Start using your brain rather than expecting everything to be automatic.
 
nope no help, wish I was that simple. I moved the driver file to that
location and pluged in the camera and let xp try to find it again and even
directed the search to that file. btw the file was named usbstor with no .sys
behind it.
 
Looking at this, usbstor.inf also requires qv2kux.sys.

But as Cari says, use Firewire.
