Can't find contact from email To: line

B

Bob Griendling

Using 2007, XP.

When I right click a contact in an email To: line--a contact I know is in my
contacts--I get a message that it can't find a contact with that email
address. Yet when I go to contacts and search for that contact suing its
email address it finds it.

Any suggestions?

I did at one time, but I thought I deleted all but the one. Can't find any
others.

Yes, as always, it brings up a dialogue box called Select Names: Contacts.
In the drop down box in the upper right under Address Book, Contacts is the
default. The drop down list also includes "Outlook Address Book." When I
click on that, it is empty with the message: No entries in this address
book.

if you click the To button, do you see the contacts in your contacts

That's normal. The "Outlook Address Book" entry is just a container for the
Contacts folders you enable as address books.

Thanks, Brian, but I still can't "look up contact" from the To: line when I
click on the email address. (see my original message). Any suggestions?
