can't empy Junk E-mail folder as of this morning

As of this morning I can't empty Junk E-mail. After I click on Empty junk
E-mail folder it deletes all but 40 messages. However when I restart Windows
Mail displays two error message:

"Recovering Windows Mail database"

and then:

"The message store has been corrupted by an application external to Windows
Mail. Windows mail has been able to successfully recover from this
corruption (0x00000000)"

And the junk E-mail are back in the Junk E-mail folder.

You might give Mike's method a try:

Close Windows Mail
Click Start > Search > Advanced Search
Location = Everywhere
Place a check in "Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files"
Name = (type) WindowsMail.MSMessageStore

When completed, you should only see 2 instances
Highlight, right-click and select: Delete
Ok any prompts, close Search and restart WinMail
