can't empty bin....

I can't empty the recycle bin, dialog comes up but it doesn't empty.
Have to go in and manually delete all the files, a bug ? or what ?
 
Did you install any IE tool bars?

Especially MS Desktop Search?

If you did, remove them and see if the issue still exists.

What build of Vista?
Was this an upgrade or clean install?

Try running chkdsk with the /f switch.

I had the same problem and it was a damaged file in the recycler folder.

Chkdsk fixed everything for me.

Don't forget to run it from cmd with admin privileges.
