can't edit network connection

The xp help says that when I select a network connection in
network connections, I should be able to select "network
tasks". I don't seem to have that option in order to edit
the connection's information.

Just right click the connection and select properties. There is also an
option in Folder Options to show common tasks in folder, it must be off on
your system.
