can't edit my website..

When I click the "edit with frontpage" button, it doesn't prompt me for any
user ID or password, so any changes I make don't transfer to my website. How
do I get the user ID and password prompt?

Does the live/remote server have the FP extensions installed, as they are required for FP to work
directly on the live/remote server?

in my remote website properties there is a file that goes like
this:C:/documents & settings/spruce/my documents/my web site/mysite3 - when
it should be:Http://www.xxxxxx.com - on other computers i can raise my
website - but not on my computer - and i'm unable to edit.

when i try to publish i get this: the folder http://www.xxxxx.com is no
longer available. i'm told that either my proxy setting may be incorrect or
there is a problem with the web server.
