Can't edit a completed movie.

W

Weir

I completed a movie project and saved it to My Videos. It
plays on Windows Media Player, but when I try to open it
in Movie Maker, there are major problems. The
transitions, titles, music and a few still photos are all
in the timeline, but there are red X's where the video
should be.
When I try to open a clip from the collection menu it
tells me that "the path does not exist" even though I can
watch that exact clip in Media Player.
Help!

Hi Weir,

You may have deleted or moved the original source files that you used when
creating your movie in Movie Maker. The Red X's in MM2 mean that MM can't
find your source files. The file that you're able to play in Windows Media
Player is a stand alone file saved from MM.

You can search for your original source files by clicking on the file in the
storyboard, and selecting 'Browse for missing files' from the edit menu.
