John and Robert: I am having the same problem saving a similar
problem in that I can save to a DVD+R but then no TV-DVD player will
play it. The DVD players say they cannot read it. I am rushing to
complete a father's day gift so any help would be great.

Apparently you have the Media Center Edition
of XP? Burning a DVD from Movie Maker seems
to be problematic and your best bet may be
to use a DVD Authoring program. Some examples
are...Nero, Roxio, Ulead, ProShow Gold, WinDVD
Creator, etc...
Also...some DVD players will not play a home
made DVD.
And the type of DVD can have an effect. I'm not
saying you should buy the following type but I can
say they have worked well for me.
Verbatim DVD-R 16X
