A friend of mine said that when he goes to Windows Update and tries to
download and install critical updates that he gets an error message that
says the updates can't be downloaded and installed because of a bad sector
on D drive. To start with, his drive is C, not D. The D drive is his
CD-Rom drive. He ran a scan on his hard drive for bad sectors and it came
up as fine with no bad sectors. It doesn't give him the option to change
from D drive to C drive. What could be causing this and is there a fix?
Thanks!
