Can't do a repair

I created a slipstream xp home sp2 disk. But when I booted from it, it
didn't give me any option but to only do a install of windows. How do I get
it to do a repair. I used nlite to make the iso and emc 9 to burn the image.
What do I need to do so I can just do a repair? I just upgraded my
motherboard cpu and video card.

So in Step 5... You cannot do that/don't have that option?
What happened to the current install that makes it necessary to do the
repair install?

I upgraded my motherboard cpu and video card. So all the messages on this
subject says you need to do a repair so xp will reconize all the new
hardware. Right not I'm not having any problems. So is it really nessasary?
I don't know why I don't get the opening screen when I boot from the disk,
and this is a slipstream disk I made since my orig cd is sp1 and I'm on sp2.
