Can't detect capture device

I recently bought a Dazzle 150 capture device, but when I hit capture from
video device, I get this message:
"A video capture device was not detected. Verify that a device is turned on
and connected properly, and then try again."
I know everything is set up right, because it works when I use the software
that came with it ( Pinnacle Studios ), but I prefer Windows Movie Maker,
it's easier to work with...

Then you need a plugin or something compatible with Movie Maker, Dazzle and
Pinnacle. The thing to do is check the Dazzle web site to see if the have a
plugin that will work with Movie Maker.

I had my own problems, and it was resolved by using firewire instead of usb.

I was reading some of the other help posts, and saw stuff said about using
FireWire instead of USB, so I guess I'll try that...
