Can't delete zero length file in Recycle bin

Some ill behave program created a zero length file with
read-only and system attributes in the Recycle Bin.

Its name is Dd1.ack and "Empty Recycle Bin" won't erase it.

I've run all my anti-virus & malware programs and they do not recognize
it as being bad.

After much googling I have tried numerous recommended windows programs
and "tips n' tricks" to try and delete it to no avail. I tried using DOS
from a boot diskette to change the attributes and delete it but that didn't
work either.

Any ideas ?

If your drive is NTFS, did you try this:

Go to Start => Run and type in "cmd" {without the quotes}
In the window that opens type in:
rd /s c:\recycler
where C:\ is the drive that has the problem Recycle Bin.
Restart
The Recycle Bin will be re-created.

Hello

Try to run the program listed in the following website and when the
installation is done open this program from desktop. Click on analyse
button...it will scan the computer and then click on run cleaner. it will
definitely delete the stuff from recycle bin.

Also on the left hand side click on registry and fix the registy issues.

I would like to try it but unfortunately your link is broken and only takes
me to the default FileHippo main page.

I can't tell from the link the name of the program. What is it ? Then I will
download and try it.

If the program is CCleaner then I already have it and it did not fix the
problem.
