Can't delete history

Hi, I can't seem to delete the history. I go to Tools,
Options, then delete Cookies, delete Files and Clear
History (set to 0). But the autocomplete still gives me
several days' or more worth of visited sites. This
persists even after I close and re-open the browser or
even if I restart.

I do have Spybot, but I unchecked the options to alter
user capabilities after I found them annoying. (Just now
I can't find that page either; it's not under Settings,
Settings. It's someplace odd; it didn't let the user
change the homepage, for example.)
