can't delete folder

I seem to have a corrupted folder.

I tried to delete it but it gets "unknown error".

I tried "detect and repair" from the help menu. It didn't help.

I tried running scanpst.exe. It didn't find any errors.

I checked the properties for the folder, but it doesn't have any check boxes
for archive permissions etc. The choices in properties are "general,
hompage, and autoarchive".

Any ideas on how I can delete it.
It seems to cause the archive to stop when I try to create an achive backup,
so I can't just leave it.

Thanks

Forgot to say;

When I delete the folder it becomes a subfolder under deleted items. Then I
can't
"empty deleted items" to get rid of it.

Thanks

John;

Thanks for trying to help.

As I said in the original message:

I tried running scanpst.exe. It didn't find any errors.

Thanks

Sorry if this is to basic, but how do I create a new profile?

When I have the profile, will I be able to select which folders to import.
I have lots of folders currently.

Thanks

I should have said earlier that I have outlook 2000.

I don't see a start menu.

the start button is the button where you go to see the list of programs
installed. Most people have it at the bottom left corner of their screen.

Cheers

Why can't I just create a new .pst file?

If I have an empty .pst file, can I select which folders I want to import?
