I was copying the files that I wanted to burn to a CD.
During this copying phase, my computer locked up (no
response to kb or mouse, an occurance that occurs quite
often during the day, not just related to copying files).
After rebooting, I found a file called: ¼¼ (yes, that's
one-fourth, one-fourth!), in the "C:\Documents and
Settings\Glen\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD
Burning\zwx\include\wx" directory. I cannot delete this
file (or create any more CDs).
I get a dialog box saying, "Cannot delete file: Cannot
read from the source file or disk". If I try to purge the
file by creating a CD, I eventually get an error message
telling me I can't create the CD (I'm sure it's trying to
copy this non-existant file) and gives me the option to
remove all the temporary files. Of course, it can't delete
that one either, and fails during this process, so I'm
totally stuck!
I've gone into a DOS box and tried to delete it that way
as well. I used System Restore to go back to yesterday,
all with no success.
