can't delete calendar appointment in office 2007

the event does not appear on my calendar but i get a reminder daily that
tells me that i am overdue on an event and it will not let me dismiss. Ideas
on how to resolve?

You can try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line
switch. Click Run on the Start Menu and enter Outlook.EXE /cleanreminders
