Problem deleting a calendar reminder

I have a recurring calendar appointment that was sent to me by my
boss. I now have a reminder that will not go away and appears every
time I start Outlook 2007. Even thought the appointment occurs in the
past. Other appointments/reminders are working properly.

It will not let me dismiss, open or delete the reminder.
Error when trying to dismiss reminder:
"Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. The
operation failed."

Error when trying to open the item from the reminder:
"Cannot open this item. The operation failed. An object cannot be
found."

Error when I try to open the appointment in the Calendar I get:
"Cannot open this item. The operation failed. An object cannot be
found."

I tried opening Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch and that did
not work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tommy

Display your calendar in a Recurrence view. Scroll to that appointment reminder, select it and delete it (do not open it, just select it by highlighting).
