Can't delete blank toolbars

G

Garth

Somehow, I've got 2 extra blank toolbars on my taskbar
that I can't delete. Even when I right-click there's
no 'Delete' option.
One of these extra toolbars duplicates what is on the
first toolbar, so when I go on-line or bring up a folder,
both toolbars are showing the same thing.
Am I making sense?

it would be best to keep you problem ongoing in the original thread, and not
creat a new one; doing it the way you are now, doesn't inform others, and
make the topic broken into different threads, to which the first one may
have an answer.

From the list, I don't see any unwanted deskbar item. Try this utility and restore Taskbar to default functionality:

Which fragments it into another thread, as it shows here and in USENET ..

So, it becomes a "new" thread, and helps no one that may be looking for the
originally posted issue. Now the answer doesn't follow through fro the OP.

There are two ways to access and read these newsgroups: web browser or
newsreader. Tom was referring to how the thread is treated by many
newsreader programs.

Since you say that you may be using the groups more often, now may be the
time to give one of these programs a whirl. There are third party programs
available and Outlook Express that is already included with XP.

A few of the benefits of using a newsreader over the web interface: Easier
to navigate groups and threads (series of related posts- original post and
replies). Easier to save posts with tips that you want to hang onto.
Message rules for filtering on subject or author. Most important: easier to
relocate a thread that you're interested in and want to follow as it
progresses.

A reference page for setting OE up for http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/resources.htm

Note: If you are using Outlook for email, it "borrows" OE to handle
newsgroups. Access news using Outlook's menus or add a space and /outnews
to the end of an OE shortcut's target line and use the altered OE shortcut.

Had trouble configuring my news bulletin reader at first
but now I seem to have things up and going.
Thanks for the great help and info!
