OK, I figured out how to do it, but it doesn't help. The minute I highlight
the email to delete it, Outlook stops responding. I tried working offline,
then deleting it, still won't work. I tried waiting until she sent me
another email, then blocking sender (temporarily) and choosing the option to
let it delete all emails by the blocked sender in my inbox. Problem is, the
second email will be deleted but then Outlook hangs up again without deleting
the original "problem" email. I even tried creating a Rule that
automatically deleted any email from the sender....and again, Outlook hangs
up when it comes to doing that, and nope, it won't get rid of that email. It
is the craziest thing I've ever seen. I ran my antivirus, I ran spyware, I
rebooted, I just don't have a clue what to try next?

How do I start it with the /nopreview switch? Sorry to be dumb, but I never
heard of doing this?
:
Start Outlook one time with the /nopreview switch to turn off the preview
pane, then delete the bad message.

After furious head scratching, Jude asked:
| I have an email in my inbox that I can't delete. Every time I try,
| Outlook locks up and won't let me do anything else, and I have to
| manually close out of the program. If I delete emails before or
| after this email, and it becomes the "next" one in view, Outlook also
| locks up. I recognize the email sender, I've emailed with her
| before, and never had a problem. Suggestions?
