Can't delete all but last restore point !! ??

I've got a Sony Vaio with Windows XP Home SP 1 on it. When I try
to clean up the restore points, by right-clicking on the hard-drive
icon > delete all but latest restore point --- the darn window just
sits there, calculating how much space I'm goinig to save --- forever.
It NEVER gets to the confirmation box to let me delete all but the
latest restore point.
What should I do?

To automate this process, use the Repair Disk Cleanup.
