Try booting into safe mode and logon as administrator. Go to the account
under Document and Settings folder and take ownership (search Help for info
on how to do that) of that account folder. As administrator, you should then
be able to delete the account that had its files set as private. Does that
work for you?
I had the same error, what I did the first time was tell it to save the
files, got the error, so instead i copied them myself manually into a folder
on the desktop and instead told it to delete files. worked like a charm.
