can't delete a file

I have a file in the temp folder waiting to be burned to CD. I stopped the
process of preparing the files to burn because of an error in the long file
names. now the file is there, but can't right click to get a menu, can't
open, can't delete. get an error that there is an incorrect path. there is
no path. Can't get rid of it.
