me too - and I am not allowed for some reason to post a new comment here,
either. Aint progress wonderful? Why would anyone design something where you
cant cut and paste between multiple workbooks or databases - it wont work in
Access or Excel, either - the keyboard function control V will let you
paste, though. Good luck on someone from Microsoft answering this post.

This is simply a usenet newsgroup FOR microsoft products, NOT an MS owned

Don't expect anyone from Microsoft to answer this or any other message
here. This is a peer support newsgroup. We are all just Windows XP
users, helping each other when we can. We are not Microsoft employees;
even those of us with the Microsoft MVP title are just volunteers who
have been recognized by Microsoft for supplying consistently helpful
advice. You see a very occasional Microsoft employee here, but when
you do, he's here posting unofficially on his own time.

Hello,

Try doing a right-click on the text, and clicking on Copy. Go to the new
window and try Paste.

If it still doesn't work, try doing copy/paste between 2 notepad windows.

Sometimes, the content that you copy could not be accepted into the new
application, hence nothing appears. For example, if you Copy an image and
Paste into Notepad, it will not work.

sorry I am so late in responding.. but I just noticed you responded.. I'm
wondering if the clipboard is corrupt.. it happens every once in a while..
and now don't have any spyware or trojans on my computer.. went out and
purchased an awesome program which I recommend whole heartedly.. it's called
VCOM System Suite 7.. does everything.. and does an awesome job of it

.. I was having a lot of problems with my computer .. to the point of having
to format.. but ran the program and it fixed me right up.. all except for
this occasional copy and paste problem... I tried as you suggested.. but
sometimes it works copying to notepad, and then copy the same text to say an
email or a program and nothing shows up... I reboot and it works for a
while.. I'm also having anothe text problem .. I am in OE, and I click reply
and the text comes up white.. white against white is impossible to see.. :)
so I have to change the color.. is there a setting somewhere so my default
font shows up instead.. ? Appreciate any help.. always.. Rainy

Hello,

Could be a background running program interfering.

Start > Run > MSCONFIG > OK > Startup (tab) > Disable All

Restart your PC and try it again, many functions may not work as normal -
but if it works now, then it is one of the background programs interfering.
You will need to do a trial-and-error with each entry on the start-up list
to find the culprit.

Remember to enable back the programs after you are done
Start > Run > MSCONFIG > OK > Startup (tab) > Enable All
