can't connect, what settings am I missing?

The message is "The client could not connect to the remote
computer. Remote connections might not be enabled....."

So - I DO have Remote Desktop "Allow users to connect
remotely to this computer" checked under System Properties

I do have 2 users that are on my system in addition to the
Admin account enabled.

I checked my Services and I can't seem to find any that
are not currently started ( or any that seem to apply for
that matter ).

What am I missing??

Thanks for the tip, but I can't telnet to that port
either... I'm on a network - I can see others around me,
they can see me. I'm Done with XP, I can't get this
networking to work consistently for the life of me. I'm
gonna install w2k3 and be done with it. Thanks again and
good luck with your keyboard issue.
