Can't connect to the internet on Windows XP

I have a WRT54G linksys wireless router and cable internet. I am unable to
get the internet to work for my XP computer, so my other computer using Vista
cannot connect to it either. Web pages don't load when I try to run internet
explorer or firefox. Strangely, I am able to connect a third computer
(running Vista) to the internet. This computer is connected directly to the
wireless router.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Can you ping a public IP? If yes, can you ping yahoo.com? Or this step by
step troubleshooting may help.

I forgot to mention that the internet had been working fine yesterday for all
three of the computers.

The original problem was with my Vista computer connected wirelessly to the
XP computer. It would only have local access or an extremely slow internet
connection.

Now I can't even get the XP computer to connect, so I think it's possible
that I changed something, though I am almost positive that I changed
everything back to the way it was when it had no effect.

I forgot to mention that the connection was working yesterday on all three
computers.

The Vista computer connected wirelessly was only able to get local access or
a very slow connection to the internet.

It might be that I caused this new problem by changing something, but I'm
almost positive that I changed everything back to the way it was when I saw
the change had no effect.

There is a reset button on the back panel. Push and hold it for 5
seconds or so. This will reset the router back to factory defaults.
Then get the manual out and follow directions.

did you change something on the router or the computer?
if the router, reset it and set it up again. if the computers, try a
restore point to a time before you had trouble connecting.
