please help, I have a pavillion pc, I recently installed windows 2000 to
replace windows 98, now I can't get on the internet by dial up or cable, when
I do dial up I get an error invalid or busy port. I tried to use my system
recovery disc, but I can't use them because I get an error message stating
unable tolocate hard drive. Have I ruined my computer. By the way it's an hp
pavillion. I have run the diagnostic on the modem and it say it's
functioning properly. Is there any hope of resolving this problem?

I recommend that you follow the instructions that your
Service Provider gave you when you signed up for
Internet access.

He is upset. He lost a client's .pst file and did not like
my suggestion that such losses are easily avoided by
backing up all important files.
