Cant connect - "may be busy"

I have magically lost my ability to log into my server
with Term Serv as it says the server may be busy. I have
XP client and SBS 2000 server. This facility worked fine
for ages and now I can't access from anywhere, not even
remote. I have tried all option through Term Serv
management console to no avail. Has anyone else
experienced such a problem? and if so, can you suggest
some areas where I may start to look to try to fix this
problem?

Can you verify, using a netstat -an, that there is an RDP
listener on port 3389?

Are there any eventlog entries that occur along with this
problem?
