Can't connect after a few hours

Used to be I could leave the computer on indefinitely and connect to the net
whenever I wanted to. Now after being idle a few hours, nothing connects to
the net unless I reboot. One error message from OE suggested this was caused
by periods of inactivity. I recently upgraded to SP2 but I don't think this
situation started immediately. Is there a security setting somewhere causing
this I can change? THANKS!

You need to be more specific.
How do you connect to the internet? Cable? Dial up?
OE is your mail program. It's not your browser (IE). Does that mean your
internet connection is ok but you cant send/receive mail?
